Environmentally Friendly Products
Tamanu Oil, also known as Calophyllum, Inophyllum or the Ati Tree is a drift nut, which is indigenous to S.E Asia and Polynesia. It produces aromatic white flowers followed by a large nut. Production of the Tamanu Oil is from the drying of the nut to allow oxidation and viscous smelling oil is derived.
Avedas source Tamanu Oil from Vaniutu following their integrity of responsible ingredient production while helping local communities. At present Aveda are funding projects throughout the Pacific Islands for schools to combat water shortages.
