The ghd hair straighteners story...

The Millenium saw the start of a truly epic journey for three friends. Whilst travelling, one friend (a hairdresser) stumbled across a South Korean inventor with his new invention. After being sent the new type of styling iron, the founders liked it so much that they decided to start a company called ghd to sell them in the UK. Initially, the ghd styling iron or hair straightener was the main product but they then began to develop further hair products to complement the different needs of thermal heat styling.

Professional ghd Hair Straighteners

In 2004, the ghd Mini and ghd Salon Styler hair straighteners were introduced and became an instant successes. During the success of the ghd hair straighteners, a range of products was developed to complement the heat styling process called ghd thermodynamics.

In April 2006, the ghd Thermodynamics range was launched to change the face of heat styling. This modern hair beauty range has pioneered a new approach to styling with hair dryers and ceramic ghd straightening irons.

Due to continued success over the last few years, ghd were winners of the Fast Track 100 in 2005, an accolade given to the fastest growing private company with the fastest growing sales over the past three years.
