This cleansing treatment contains a combination of prioctine olamine to rebalance and purify the scalp, plus citric acid and exfoliating agents to gently eliminate dandruff, and prevent its reappearance. Citric acid is a weak oganic acid found in citrus fruits. It serves as a cleaning agent and acts as an antioxidant. Often used in hair products, as the citrus acid opens up the cuticle, allowing for deeper cleaning of the hair shaft.
