How To Apply
First of all, choose a blusher for your skin tone. Lighter rose and apricot colours suit fairer complexions. Orangey and berry pinks suit darker complexions. To apply choose a medium sized soft brush with a rounded top. Brushes that are usually supplied with blushers are too small and hard and can create a blotchy effect. Evenly swirl the brush in the blusher just picking up a little at time. Tap the brush to remove any excess powder to give even coverage. Or you can rub the brush into a tissue, which will also remove the excess powder. Look for the apple of your cheeks; this is the fleshiness part that sticks out the most when you smile.
Using very light strokes apply the blusher to just beneath the apple of your cheek. Build up the colour gradually so that you achieve the colour you want. If too much is applied you can blend with a cotton pad or tissue. Blend with your face powder, the strongest colour being at the cheek, to none at all near the hairline. Always check your blusher in daylight to make sure it is not too heavy.
