wantthelook.com swings into action for Macmillan Cancer Support

2 employees from wantthelook.com are hoping to raise over
£1500 for Macmillan Cancer Support. They put their handicap to the test
and took part in the 2008 Longest Day Golf Challenge on Tuesday 1st
July at Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club.
In their bid to complete the cancer care charity’s sponsored
golf marathon, backed by golfing star, Nick Dougherty, team members,
Oliver Cole Dean Pipitone, Mark Williams and Ray Hung took to the green
and played a mammoth four rounds of golf in just one day.
Oliver Cole says: “Playing 72 holes in just one day was a real
challenge and by the end of it we were all feeling rather the worse for
wear! We’ve had a great day though and knowing that every hole played
helped raise more money for such a worthwhile cause really spurred us
on. Not being a member of a golf club, we’d like to thank John Reay and
his team at Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club for his generosity and
kindness throughout the day. ”
Macmillan hopes the popular golfing challenge, will raise more
than £350,000 to help provide the expert care and
emotional support that makes a real difference to people affected by
cancer.
