Redken Matte Sponge 05 is a rugged texturizer that will give you a roughed up look. This product will add separation whilst giving a mild hold and also helps tame fly aways and frizz.

How To Use

Work through a small amount of Matte Sponge 05 to damp or dry hair from roots to ends to achieve a roughed up effect.

Cocktail It!

Create bouncy curls with a roughed up finish - Matte Sponge 05 + Soft Spin 05

On wavy/curly hair, apply Soft Spin 05 to towel dried hair in a scrunching motion. Blow dry using a finger diffuser on low speed or alternatively let your hair, air dry. Emulsify Matte Sponge 05 in your palm and apply with finger tips to the surface of the waves/curls.

Create moveable, tough texture with rugged separation - Matte Sponge 05 + Rough Paste 12

On short to medium length hair, emulsify a small amount of Matte Sponge 05 and Rough Paste 12 into your hands. Massage into damp hair and then rough dry. Layer Matte Sponge 05 for a strong tousled hair, rugged texture.

For bold definition with a grainy natural sheen - Matte Sponge 05 + Rough Clay 20

Emulsify Matte Sponge 05 in your hands and evenly distibute onto damp hair and then rough dry. Using your fingertips, scrunch Rough Clay 20 into your hair placing pieces for a gritty grain like topcoat with a natural looking finish.

For no maintenance, on the go, flexible defined movement - Matte Sponge 05 + Fabricate 03

Mist Fabricate 03 onto damp, towel dried hair. Blow dry hair on a medium setting with a flat brush. Start in the front side areas and work your way to the back taking small sections, "wrapping" to the opposie side of the head. Work a small amount of Matte Sponge 05 into the fingertips and lightly dust through the hair.
