Bold colours were seen everywhere on the Catwalk this season and were prominent in bright clothing, hair colour and even filtered down to make-up too.

Keep colour limited to one area and either use bright lipsticks or eyeshadows whilst keeping the rest of your make-up neutral. Eye-popping, glossy coloured lipsticks create a great statement look and make a welcome change from the matte, berry stained lips that were seen everywhere this winter.

The 80's are definately the most reflective decade of this autumn/winter and it's influence was present in abundance on the catwalk this season.  Particular followers of the trend included designers Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton and Michael Kors

The 80's inspired trend is all about bright, bold colours which for make up often clash together on the eyes, lips and cheeks.  Try bubblegum bright reds, blues, oranges, yellows and purples to be bang on trend!  If you still need inspiration think of the original 80's icons such as Debbie Harry, Boy George and Siouxsie Sioux!!

How to get the look…

Lips were strong on the catwalk this autumn and winter.  Matte lips were very much in evidence in all of the designers shows.  Rich, burnished reds and cherry plums created a fabulous pout and looked great when teamed with neutral eyes for a classic finish.
